What's new:

• December 21: I will be giving a take together with Prof. Karasawa at a joint public seminar hosted by Showa Pharmaceutical University and the Machida City Lifelong Learning Center. It's been a while since we've held a face-to-face lecture, so I'm looking forward to it.

• September 29: I gave a talk at the Kawasaki City Public Lecture (iCONM/CHANGE). It was an online event, but I had a lot of questions and really enjoyed it.

• In September, we organized a symposium called “CampFire Talks on the Beach: Let's Talk with the Legends” at the JSMRM in Makuhari, Japan. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Mitsumori and Dr. Yamashita for talking with us as legends.

• In June, I gave an invited talk at “The Future of Molecular MR 2024” in Orléans, France. This was a wonderful meeting focused on future MRI contrast agents and molecular imaging, and I would like to thank the organizers, Prof. Peter Caravan (Harvard/MGH) and Prof. Eva Jakab Toth (CNRS, France).

• Thank you for your contribution for FASMI-JSMI 2024. It was successfully concluded.

• Preparations are well underway for the 18th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Molecular Imaging (FASMI-JSMI 2024), to be held in Odaiba, Tokyo in May 23-24, 2024. The meeting will feature representatives from the Federation of Asian Societies for Molecular Imaging (FASMI), and recently, the President and Secretary General of the World Molecular Imaging Society (WMIS) will join us. The conference will have a very international flavor. I am looking forward to seeing you in Odaiba soon.

• The 11th Takeda Science Foundation Symposium on PharmaSciences, "Imaging-directed Development of Cutting Edge Drugs and Medical Technologies" in Osaka 2024.2.26-27, which I co-organize, has reached its maximum number of participants. Thank you for your application. I will see you in Osaka.

• I organized the symposium "Campfire Talks: Let's Talk with Legend" at the 51st Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Magnetic Resonance Medicine (Karuizawa) on Sep 23 with Dr. Fukunaga (National Institute for Physiological Sciences). We would like to thank Dr. Ogawa and Dr. Araki.

• I was awarded a Senior Fellow at ISMRM 2023 in Toronto. I will continue to share the excitement of research and development using MRI and bio-imaging.

• Student Research Planning Contest "Let's Create Your Institute" was held as a project for the 38th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society for DDS. This could become a method of "creativity education" online (Newsweek Japan).

できごと:

• 12月21日 昭和薬科大学・町田市生涯学習センター共催市民講座で唐澤教授と一緒に講演をします。久しぶりの対面開催なので楽しみです。

• 9月29日 川崎市民公開講座（iCONM/CHANGE）で「ナノ技術とMRIがもたらす医療の未来 」と題して講演しました。オンライン開催でしたが、多数のご質問を頂き、とても楽しむことができました。

• 9月 日本磁気共鳴医学会・幕張大会で、シンポジウム「CampFire Talks on the Beach「レジェンドと語ろう」」を企画しました。レジェンドとして非常に有意義なお話を頂きました三森文行先生・山下康行先生に心より感謝申し上げます。

• 6月 フランスのOrléansで開催された「The Future of Molecular MR 2024」で招待講演を務めました。未来のMRI造影剤や分子イメージングに特化した素晴らしい会合で、主催したPeter Caravan教授（Harvard/MGH）、Eva Jakab Toth教授（CNRS, フランス）に感謝致します。

• 第18回日本分子イメージング学会総会・学術集会（FASMI-JSMI 2024）にお越し頂きました皆様に心よりお礼申し上げます。

• 第18回日本分子イメージング学会総会・学術集会（FASMI-JSMI 2024）の大会長としての準備が順調に進んでいます。2024年5月23-24日に東京お台場で開催されます。今回の集会では、アジア分子イメージング学会連合（Federation of Asian Societies for Molecular Imaging: FASMI）より各国の代表者が来日するほか、最近になって、世界分子イメージング学会（World Molecular Imaging Society: WMIS）の理事長およびCEOの来日が決定するなど、大変国際色が豊かな大会が予定されています。お台場でお会いできますことを楽しみにしています。

• オーガナイザーの一人を務める第11回武田科学振興財団 薬科学シンポジウム「イメージングによる最先端医薬品・医療技術開発」大阪2024.2.26-27はお陰様で参加定員に達しました。ご参加・ご発表に感謝申し上げます。→ 多数のご参加・ご発表ありがとうございました。海外から総勢15名の先端的研究者を招聘し、かつてない高密度のシンポジウムだったと感じます。心よりお礼申し上げます。

• 第51回日本磁気共鳴医学会大会（軽井沢）にて、シンポジウム「キャンプファイヤー・トークス：Legendと語ろう」を、福永雅喜先生（生理研）と共に実施しました。ご登壇頂きました小川先生・荒木先生の素晴らしいご講演に感謝申し上げます。

• ISMRM 2023トロントでシニアフェローを受賞しました。これからもMRIや生体イメージングによる研究開発の面白さを伝えていきます（日本磁気共鳴医学会、QST）。

• 学生研究企画コンテスト「君の研究所を創ろう」を第38回日本DDS学会学術集会の企画として開催しました。これを改良すればオンライン上で「創造性教育」を行う方法になるかもしれません（ニューズウィーク日本版）。
